How to play Lineage on Japan Server
If you want a chance to play the current version of Lineage Remastered on a live server, then this guide is for you. And don’t worry, it is completely free to play on the Japan servers and does not even need a foreign social security number or anything.
Step1 – Register for NC Japan Account
Of course, you need an account, so go ahead to nscoft japan and register an account. I am not going to show you how to do that, because with Google’s translator you should be able to do it. If you can not even get this part then, may God bless you!
Once your account is created you will get an email like this below. Make sure you keep this email because you will need it to log in to the game server EVERY TIME!!!!
Step2 – Change your region setting
In windows on the bottom left-hand corner, search for region setting and change it to Japan. Make sure you restart once this is done. If you skip this part, you will have problems updating the client and it will not work properly!
Step3 – Download game client
Next, you need the official client. This part can get tricky so pay attention. You also need to make sure you have .net framework 4 or above installed. If you on the current OS then this really shouldn’t be a problem and can be completely ignored.
The japan client is sort of a multi-client download so see the image below on what you need to do to download the correct client.
Step4 – Update the client and Patch it up!
The installer will not put an icon on your desktop once it’s finished. Look for in the “Newly Installed” section on windows like below. I have no idea what this is called, but you can see it.
Step5 – Login and enjoy the game!
This is where you will need that email from Step 1. Log in with your credentials, but leave OTP blank for now. So put your email address, your password, and then click the login button.
Go back to your email you got from NCsoft after you complete your account creation. In the email, input the 4 digital number that matches on your screen. There may not be a cursor blinking so click and just type the number it in. The numbers will show once you type them all in.
